The Counseling department's goal is to do whatever we can to help each student maximize his/her potential while at Price. Realizing that middle school is an important transitional period between elementary and high school, we understand children may experience various academic, social or emotional challenges consistent with early adolescence. We would help support them by working with parents, students, teachers and other services, including providing referrals to outside agencies.

Registration Information

Mrs. Negrete and Mrs. Graham will be going into 6th and 7th graders’ classrooms in March to talk with students about selecting electives for next year. Students will be bringing home materials (see below) to share with you to help with making their elective selections.

8th Grade High School Registration:  Begins January 2013

Counselors from Branham and Leigh High Schools will be at Price in early March.  Del Mar and Westmont will be contacting you directly. Using the addresses we currently have for your child, the Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD) is determining to which high school your child will be assigned.  You will need to share any changes in your address with the appropriate school in the CUHSD.  If you live in the attendance area of one of those schools you will be receiving information about “Parent Information Night”.

Parents of 8th Grade Charter Students:  Regarding high school registration.

It is important that you be aware of your residency and confirm if you live within the boundaries of the Campbell Union High School District (CUSHD).  If you would like your children to attend a school in that district next year you must first obtain a release from your “home” district and then you must apply for an interdistrict transfer to the CUSHD.  Unfortunately, we have no control over this process as both are separate districts from Cambrian.
